上海国际舞蹈中心实验剧场

简称为小剧场，与大剧场隔“水”（广场喷泉）相望。相较于大剧场的圆弧形外观，小剧场显得棱角分明。大片的落地玻璃给剧场内外带来不同的感受。从广场凝视小剧场，能看见蓝天白云投射在玻璃外墙上的倒影。实验剧场为了让“实验”二字名副其实，舞台设计与大剧场同比一比一，致力于让青年舞蹈演员们在实验剧场孕育出更多创新的作品。观众席座椅采用清新的抹茶绿，带来一种青春活力的气息。为了贯彻“实现”的目的，观众席阶梯非常陡峭，这是为了全方位的观察剧目的观赏性。

Experimental Theater

Shanghai International Dance Center Experimental Theater is located at the other side of square fountain and opposite to the Grand Theater. The Experimental Theater is more angular compared to the Grand Theater’s circular appearance. Large plate glass windows give different feeling for its inside and outside. Looking at the Experimental Theater from the square, one can see the reflection of blue sky and cloud on its glass wall. To make the Experimental Theater live up to its name, the stage here is designed exactly the same like the Grand Theater. Experimental Theater is devoted in helping young dance artists to create more innovative programs. The seats are in matcha green, which brings young vigour to the auditorium. The auditorium is very steep to be “experimental”, so that the performance on stage can be observed in all different angles.
